Think NENs Global Educational Program for Primary Care Physicians
All you need to know in primary care about neuroendocrine cancer (NEN)
The Think NENs Global Educational Program for Primary Care Physicians is a comprehensive e-learning program providing everything primary care physicians need to know about diagnostics, treatment and care of patients with neuroendocrine cancer.
It represents 1 main module of 3 videos (each 20 minutes long) providing concise knowledge about neuroendocrine cancer diagnosis and managing patients in general practice via Q&A sessions between primary care physicians and neuroendocrine neoplasm (NEN) experts, as well as complementary section of 13 videos on most common NEN types, the impact of treatments and genetic NENs.
The program is available in 6 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
The main module can provide UEMS-EACCME® credit if the enclosed exam is completed successfully.
The program is available free of charge.
ENROLL IN: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish
The Think NENs Global Educational Program for Primary Care Physicians has been elaborated via a scientific committee representing patients with NENs (an international panel from the International Neuroendocrine Cancer Alliance – INCA), NEN experts from around the world (from ENETS, NANETS and CommNETs) and primary care physicians from Turkey and United Kingdom, and an emergency physician from United States. Complementary videos involve NEN experts from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, France, Ireland, The Netherlands, South Africa, Spain, USA.
Why Think NENs
We are calling this program Think NENs to help primary care physicians think more about the possibility of uncovering the NEN diagnosis and facilitating referral, and hopefully successful treatment.
Delayed NEN diagnosis is a global challenge.
– The mean time from first symptoms to diagnosis – approx. 5 years globally.*
– 46% of patients had stage IV NENs at time of diagnosis.*
– 86% of primary care physicians stated to be involved in diagnostics*

What are you going to learn:
Understand NENs
What are NENs, what kind of NEN patients we see in general practice, common symptoms and why these should not be confused with other possible symptoms that may pose diagnostic challenges.
What to do in suspected NENs
What tests can a primary care physician do, what are the expert referral pathways, examples of clinical scenarios of NEN.
Managing NEN patients after diagnosis
What are the common NEN treatments and issues around them to consider when managing patients in general practice.
