The Current Oncology Reports journal just published the INCA review article “The Role of Patient Support Groups in Neuroendocrine Neoplasms “, DOI 10.1007/s11912-021-01046-6. The open-access article looks at the role patient support groups play in NENs, which has evolved significantly over the years. It is a detailed overview of the current state of affairs of the global NEN advocacy movement and expands on its strategic priorities i.e. improving awareness and education among all stakeholders, generating patient evidence to influence policies for access to optimal diagnostics, treatment and care, and setting the research agenda.

The article, co-authored by Teodora Kolarova, INCA Executive Director and Catherine Bouvier, INCA President, is a first-of-its-kind review looking at the role of patient advocacy groups in NENs around the world.
