INCA’s abstract Survey of Challenges in Access to Diagnostics and Treatment for Neuroendocrine Tumor (NET) Patients (SCAN) – USA and Canada vs Global Diagnosis of NETs was accepted for an e-poster presentation at the NANETS 2020 Virtual Symposium, to be held on October 2-3rd. The North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS) Multidisciplinary NET Medical Virtual Symposium is an annual scientific conference for the NET medical community designed to share findings around new diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, optimal multidisciplinary care, and the future of neuroendocrine tumor research.
NET misdiagnosis and time to correct diagnosis will be presented comparatively for USA and Canada vs globally for the very first time. The e-poster focuses on diagnostic tools that may be essential, however still not widely available or used often enough in both North American countries, which might hinder an earlier diagnosis of the disease.
The poster will be accessible to conference attendants this weekend and to everyone one day after the conference. It will be also made available on the INCA website.
