Resources for Healthcare Providers

NETs are easily missed.
Help us change this.

Basic awareness of neuroendocrine tumors among healthcare professionals is vital for early detection. According to the Survey of Challenges in Access to Diagnostics and Treatment for NET Patients (SCAN) the most involved specialists in diagnosis are general practitioners/family doctors and gastroenterologists. Other specialists like endocrinologists, surgeons, pulmonologists, etc. also have a crucial role in suspecting NETs and reducing the time to diagnosis.

On NET Cancer Day, we need healthcare providers to learn about NETs/NENs and think about them when they see patients with chronic common symptoms which aren’t explained otherwise.

For NET Cancer Day 2024, INCA is proud to present the first global e-learning program, especially designed for educating primary care physicians in everything they need to know about neuroendocrine cancer (neuroendocrine neoplasms/ NENs) in a nutshell: Think NENs Global Educational Program for Primary Care Physicians.

Think NENs Global Educational Program for Primary Care Physicians is available in 6 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

This NET Cancer Day we call to healthcare professionals:

·        Watch videos with primary care physicians talking about their experience with NETs and learn from your colleagues why awareness of neuroendocrine cancer is important

·        Dive into Think NENs Global Educational Program for Primary Care Physicians to get knowledge of NETs

·        Download a factsheet from the Global NET Patient Information Pack with 26 factsheets on different types of NETs in 11 languages.

NETs are more common than brain, ovarian, or cervical cancer and incidence is on the rise.

We need the help of our global community to raise awareness, improve the quality of life for NET cancer patients around the world to improve diagnostic times.

On November 10, help us spread the word
