INCA will have a poster presentation at the ESMO World Congress on Gastrointestinal Cancer, which will be held online from July 1st – July 4th . The poster, based on SCAN survey data clearly demonstrates the many challenges with misdiagnosis, non-availability of treatments and diagnostic tools for gastro-enteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (GEP NET) patients globally. 1670 GEP NET patients from around the world responded to SCAN in 2019. The survey findings call for an increase in the availability of NET diagnostics and treatment options, particularly newer, more specialized tools in order to improve early diagnosis. The presentation of the INCA survey results in front of the GI medical community is part of the global effort to overcome the leading issue identified by NET patients via SCAN, namely that more healthcare professionals knowledgeable in NETs are needed.
INCA’s abstract will be available at Annals of Oncology as of July 5th
