On February 27, 2019, the Middle East Neuroendocrine Society (MENETS) held the first Israeli NET Lives (INETLives) Conference at the Dan Panorama Hotel, Tel Aviv. The conference has it as its focus to provide NET real-life perspective of NET patients and their primary caregivers, exchanging tips and techniques on living with a chronic disease. INCA Executive Director Teodora Kolarova presented on the impact that patient-generated data can make in improving awareness of NETs, access to optimal treatment and care, and NET research. Teodora spoke about the value of collaboration with the medical experts and the importance of empowering patients to be active partners in the decision-making process.
All INETLives presentations will be filmed and uploaded to www.MENETS.org with both Hebrew and English audios.
MENETS is holding support group meetings in the Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa areas six times a year.
