The difficulties with early diagnosis of NETs in Ireland and the UK were the focus of the INCA e-poster based on SCAN results at the UKINETs 18th Annual Congress, taking place virtually on November 30th – December 3rd. The country data were compared with the global SCAN results to confirm that the experience of UK and Irish patients on their route to diagnosis is similar to that of the surveyed patients around the world.  The extremely high proportion of NET patients diagnosed with stage IV cancer, which is associated with poorer patient outcomes, remains a global challenge.

The 18th Annual Congress marks 20 years since the UK and Ireland Neuroendocrine Tumour Society’s inception. UKINETS 18th National Conference has been approved by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom for 8 category 1 (external) CPD credit(s).

INCA’s poster will be accessible to everyone one day after the conference on the INCA website.
