On Thursday October 3th, 2024, the second annual DB-NETS conference took place. DB-NETS is a collaboration between the Dutch and Belgium ENETS Centres of Excellence. This year it was hosted in Antwerp at the Chocolade Nation.
The conference included presentations from specialists from the ENETS Centres of Excellence.
Dirk van Genechten, on behalf of the VZW NET&MEN Kanker, and Faye Tukker, on behalf of the NETNECkanker Foundation, were asked to speak from the NET patient perspective.
They talked about the launch of Think NENs Global Educational Program for Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) and showed a short trailer of the e-learning module. Faye and Dirk urged the specialists to talk about this project with the primary physicians they are in contact with to make sure more PCPs can access this educational program to better understand NENs and improve NEN diagnostics, care and patient outcomes.
