APOZ & Friends
The Association of Cancer Patients and Friends, APOZ was established in 2004 to support cancer patients and their families with advice, advocacy and mediation with institutions and medical entities for enforcing patients’ rights through improvement of legislation and stirring mechanisms for transparency and dialogue with the relevant state institutions, training for NGOs of patients and medical experts, awareness and information programmes on cancer prevention and improvement of quality of life for patients having major or rarer types of cancer. Apart from being involved in the Membership Council of WNCAD Alliance, APOZ is a member of UICC, ECPC, EPF, GLCC, Europa Donna.
