Yoshiyuki Majima

President, NPO Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Japan (PanCAN Japan)

Biography

After losing his sister to pancreatic cancer, Mr. Majima has established the Japanese affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network which has the US headquarters in Los Angeles. In 2012, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had total pancreatectomy. At that time, a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor was also found and hypoglycemic attacks stopped. PanCAN Japan`s main activities are to create clinical trials, faster approval of FDA approved drugs, and realize the promise of precision medicine.
