Biography

Simona Barbi is the Vice President of NET Italy ETS since 2018. NET patient incidentally diagnosed in 2012 (ileum), she had surgery in 2013 and in 2021. After the NET diagnosis Simona joined the Association NET Italy Onlus in 2015 and in 2018 became member of the board. Simona is strongly promoting and supporting the development of the association in Italy with the aim to provide correct and exhaustive information to those who approach the NET world, both patients and caregivers. She has worked on many projects, including a book with the stories of 28 patients/caregivers, an accredited course for GPs on NET, supporting a research project at the Policlinico di Modena (from 2021). From 2018 onwards NET Italy ETS has started a closer cooperation with INCA, becoming a full member.

Simona Barbi serves on the INCA Communications Committee and contributes actively to the preparation of the INCA information resources in Italian.
