Benard Rono

Biography
Benard Rono is the founder and Chair of the African Zebra Cancer Network Support (AZNETS), a NET cancer survivor, and a passionate advocate for NET cancer research and patient support. He was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumor at 38, and after undergoing surgery, he has been cancer-free for 7 years.
As an advocate, Benard has been involved with several cancer organizations, including AZNETS and INCA.
Benard also works to empower other cancer patients and survivors in resource limited setting in Africa by sharing his own experience and providing guidance and support to those who are going through similar challenges. In addition to his advocacy work, Benard is a highly experienced clinical trial specialist with over twenty years of experience in managing and coordinating clinical trials and patient care. With a strong background in clinical medicine and public health, Benard has played a crucial role in the successful completion of several clinical trials, each of which has contributed significantly to the development of new and effective treatments for various medical conditions.
Currently working with Henry Jackson Foundation for Medical Research International (HJFMRI), Benard continues to contribute to the field of clinical trials by leading and supporting the development of new and innovative treatments that have the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of patients around the world.
