The Stafett for livet was held this fall around the biggest cities of Norway. This is a Norwegian version of the American Relay for Life, a fundraiser movement campaign that helps communities in the battle against cancer. A strong CarciNor team of 60 members joined the campaign on September 14-15 in Sandefjord. The group managed to keep up with the rule to be on the move for 24 hours, running and walking without rest. This was done thanks to the incredible dedication of Brian, a CarciNor member, who walked all night.
The team was named “Go Fredrik” in support of the CarciNor member, Fredrik, who lives in Sandefjord. Fredrik was part of the team together with his wife Silje, their children and several family members, friends and colleagues. Fredrik participated as a fighter, meaning someone who lives with or has survived cancer. All fighters are invited as guests of honor at the Stafett for livet. On September 21-22 Egil, another CarciNor member, participated as a fighter at Stafett for livet.
